Northwest Wednesdays: Capitol Hill Block Party

This Friday, July 23, marks the start of the three-day Capitol Hill Block Party.  Throughout the weekend, over 60 artists will invade Seattle’s Capitol Hill for concerts on four stages.  Among the headliners this year are MGMT, Holy Fuck, Yeasayer, Atmosphere and Blue Scholars.  Three-day $60 passes are sold out, but single-day tickets for $23 are still available.  While the Block Party doesn’t have nearly as many bands as this summer’s Bumbershoot, the impressive lineup and low ticket prices (compared to Bumbershoot’s $40-a-day ticket), make this three-day party one of the most attractive northwest music fests of the summer.
